What does bass booster do?

A bass booster raises a broad low-frequency shelf instead of increasing every sample equally. SoundTools lets you place that shelf from 60 to 250 Hz and add up to 15 dB, then scans the rendered channels and reduces overall gain when necessary to keep peaks inside the valid digital range.

Low-shelf biquad DSP runs after you choose a source and explicitly start the operation. The audio samples remain in browser memory; SoundTools does not send the selected media to an application endpoint.

Move the shelf frequency lower for sub and kick weight or higher for broader warmth, then add gain gradually while comparing the result at a matched playback volume. Results remain available for preview and download only in the current tab. Closing or refreshing the page releases those temporary objects.
