What does audio equalizer do?

An audio equalizer changes the level of selected frequency regions without changing the whole file by the same amount. This workbench applies ten peaking filters from 31 Hz to 16 kHz, allows ±12 dB per band, protects the output peak, and keeps an original player beside the processed result for an honest A/B check.

A real local processor, not a decorative upload box

10-band biquad DSP runs after you choose a source and explicitly start the operation. The audio samples remain in browser memory; SoundTools does not send the selected media to an application endpoint.

Start with Flat, Bass, Vocal, or Bright, then adjust the ten bands from −12 to +12 dB. Broad, moderate moves normally sound more natural than extreme neighboring boosts. Results remain available for preview and download only in the current tab. Closing or refreshing the page releases those temporary objects.
